A Time To Reflect, and a Surprise...

I wanted to post an apology for not updating the previous article on "Selling on eBay". My wife and I have been going through some family issues and have been stressed out due to this circumstance.

But, I'm getting back on track and have a surprise for you!

In the next week or so, check back here for a great resource for those of you who are starting out on eBay. I'm going to see if I can get you a nice discount on it as well. Bookmark this blog so you don't forget.

This reminds me...

Remember to not take for granted your family - given to you by God - and cherish the moments that you DO have with them. Please don't focus on what went wrong (learn from it, yes) but look to a brighter future.

Until next time. God bless.

Learn How To Sell On eBay - Part 4

Ok, you've found the best category to sell your item in (See Part 3 below for details). What you need to do now is, login to your eBay account. Once you are logged in, select the "Sell" tab at the top of the page.

Go through each step of the "Sell Your Item" pages and fill in what you think is the best choice for each field. Don't check the extra options, as your only selling "stuff" around your house/garage. You are just wanting to learn the selling steps in getting an item listed on eBay.

You will get faster at doing this as you list more items for sale. Use the picture instructions from the "eBay Sellers Guide" to put your pictures in your eBay auctions.

SIDE NOTE: If you choose to continue to sell on eBay, you will need to host your own pictures. eBays picture service is too expensive and garners lower ending prices. I recommend midPhase to host your images. Go here to get your own hosting:

Don't worry about your auction being perfect, again you are only selling the junk around the house/garage. This week, get some items up for auction on eBay and next week will tackle communicating with eBay buyers.

Have a Godly day!

Learn How To Sell On eBay - Part 3

I hope you downloaded the free "eBay Sellers Guide" and had a chance to look it over - it really has some great information in it, by none other than eBay expert Terry Gibbs.

Last time we discussed pictures for your auctions. I hope you dusted off the ol' digital camera, because yer going to start using it - right? ;)

Ok -- since you've taken some pictures of your items that you are going to sell, now you need to mosey on over to ebay and search for similar items related to the one you will be selling.

What you need to do here is once you land on the home page of ebay, click on the "Advanced Search" link, enter your keywords for your item number in the "Enter keyword or item number" text field, click on the "Completed listings only" check box, then click the "Search" button to begin your search.

SIDE NOTE: Download our FREE Ebay Buyers Guide to learn more about using eBay's search capabilities.

Determine the best category and keywords for your item. Once you have this information you can login to your eBay account and put your item up for sale. We will tackle this in the next installment.

Have a Godly day!

P.S. You must have your own web hosting account in order to use multiple images in your auctions... and I only recommend midPhase. They are having a super special right now, check it out here:

Learn How To Sell On eBay - Part 2

Since this is a holy weekend (I'm celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.) I am only going to write a quick update to this article and then will continue it next week. Hope everyone is/will enjoy this weekend.

Onto Part 2 of this article...

Now, where were we? Oh yay - taking good pictures with your digital camera.

It's always good to have BIG, clear pictures in your auctions. You can obtain great pictures with a digital camera. I currently use a Kodak EasyShot with a expansion card of 256MB. This will allow you to take up to 700+ pictures before your memory card fills up.
